Primary colleagues:
Complete the Year 6 self-evaluation document (see attachment) and bring to the session ready to discuss.
 
Secondary colleagues:
Use the Year 6 RTP criteria from ‘Shaping the Year 7 Curriculum’ (see attachment) guidance document to identify common misconceptions, linked to each of these four key ideas, that pupils typically have when they start in Year 7. Bring these with the Year 7 SoW ready to discuss with primary colleagues.

  • An opportunity to revisit our visions and values now updated since last session
  • A chance to hear from our primary and secondary Mastery Specialist colleagues following their visit to Shanghai during the last exchange about their key lessons learnt

Prioritising the Curriculum in Y6 and Y7
This session will involve cross phase collaborative engagement with the Year 6 Ready to Progress guidance and Year 7 priority areas. We will be joined by Alison Hopper, an NCETM colleague with a specialism in Year 5-8 transition.
