Addressing AS level students with a low starting point

Addressing AS level students with a low starting point

With the Government advocating that more students take some form of mathematic qualification beyond the age of 16, it is very important that we learn more about the needs and motivations of those students who are not the most gifted in the subject. In this project we will attempt to understand the most effective techniques and strategies to ensure all students are able to reach their potential.

Work Group outcomes

To improve performance and retention of students at A level who enter the course with a B or C grade at GCSE.

To develop teachers understanding of techniques to develop and motivate student participation.
